The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is expanding its warning about cookies containing the industrial chemical melamine.
The department says three brands of Wonderfarm brand cookies sold in Minnesota -- "Royal Flavour Biscuits," "Lovely Melody Biscuits" and "Daily Life Biscuits" -- have tested positive for melamine.
Earlier this month, the department said Wonderfarm "Successful" cookies had tested positive for melamine. The cookies are made by Interfood Shareholding Company in Vietnam.
Melamine has been linked to health problems, and has been the subject of product recalls in China and Asia.
Exposure to melamine can lead to kidney and urinary tract problems, but the state says no illnesses have been reported because of consumption of the cookies.
