Verizon Wireless, a provider of a wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (LSE: VOD), announced on Tuesday (11 November) that the company has activated a new cell site in Hazelton, North Dakota, USA.
The new cell site reportedly improves network coverage along US Highway 83 as far as five miles north and as far as four miles south of the town. In addition, coverage is also improved along State Highway 34 for more than four miles east of town and as far west as State Highway 1804.
Verizon said that the new cell site will enable customers to enjoy clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
Verizon has reportedly invited over 17.6m in the past year in expansion its North Dakota network.
