Brynn Joki of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Megan Lambertson of Litchfield, Minn., have signed National Letters of Intent to play volleyball and continue their education at North Dakota State University.
Head coach Erich Hinterstocker made the announcement Wednesday, the first day of the one-week early signing period.
Joki, a 6-foot-1 right-side hitter and setter, is the all-time leader in kills, assists and points for Grand Rapids High School. She was named to the all-state team by the Minnesota coaches association the last two years and also participates in basketball and track. Her mother, Beth, is the head volleyball coach at Grand Rapids and her sister, Erin, plays at the University of North Dakota.
Lambertson, a 6-foot middle and outside hitter, has 1,204 career kills in four seasons at Litchfield High School. A three-time all-conference pick, she was named all-state in 2007 and 2008. She also competes in basketball and track and field, where she is a three-time state placewinner in the high jump.
Hinterstocker also announced Andrea Henning of Jackson, Wis., has been accepted for admission to NDSU and plans to join the Bison volleyball team next fall. Henning, a 5-foot-8 defensive specialist, helped Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School to a Division II state championship in 2007. The Flyway Conference Player of the Year this fall, she has been named first team all-conference three straight years and all-state twice.
North Dakota State is scheduled to close out the regular season this weekend at Centenary and Oral Roberts. The Bison are 20-3 overall and have clinched the No. 1 seed for the Summit League tournament with a 14-0 record.
