Fargo, ND - North Dakota State University is joining with federal research laboratories on three new projects.
Sen. Byron Dorgan held a news conference with officials from the labs in Fargo to announce the contracts. He says they include $50,000 from the New Mexico-based Sandia National Laboratories for water purification membrane and polymer research; $25,000 from Sandia for solar cell research; and $30,000 from the Washington-based Pacific Northwest National Laboratory for radio frequency testing research.
Dorgan chairs the congressional committee that funds the national laboratories. He says the contracts are the start of what he hopes are long-term partnerships.
