Composite Technology Signs Turbine Deal for Wilmar

Wilmar, MN - DeWind subsidiary has signed an agreement for the sale of two D8.2 two megawatt wind turbines to Willmar Municipal Utilities (WMU) in Willmar Minnesota. The DeWind D8.2 synchronous power turbine was chosen by the utility after a lengthy evaluation process and a series of city approvals. The contract is valued in excess of $6 million with scheduled delivery of the turbines set for May 2009. DeWind will provide nacelles, blade sets and towers.

The State of Minnesota is one of the leading proponents of wind power in the United States and possesses some of the best wind resources for the efficient generation of clean wind power, according to the state. Per the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Minnesota trails only Texas and California in the amount of installed wind generation, with over 1299 megawatts of installed capacity as of the end of 2007.

"We are very pleased to place additional turbines in Minnesota and we are very happy to serve the needs of the Willmar Municipal Utilities. This order can serve as a model for other municipal and regional utilities to take advantage of the abundant wind resources of Minnesota and the unique features of the D 8.2 turbine," commented Marv Sepe, President of DeWind and Chief Operating Officer of CTC.

    ACCC* (Aluminum Conductor Composite Core) conductors, which are "high
    efficiency conductors" for use in electrical transmission grid systems.
