The insect quarantine and greenhouse complex at USDA's Northern Plains Agricultural Research Laboratory in Sidney will allow the Montana lab to begin importing and testing insects that could someday be used in battling problem weeds.

Sidney Mayor Bret Smelser says that with a $5 million budget and 29 employees, the economic benefits of the lab will flow through the community.
