Many of us in business are looking for different and innovative ways to do team building activities. We have made use of some of the very good concepts such as understanding each other’s personality, inter-dependence activities, sporting activities, picnics, etc.
A not so common team building event that is available is one that not only allows for social interaction, but also education and doing something good for the heart of each participant.
What is the not so common team building event you ask - a wine education / tasting at your local wine bar.
Recent medical studies have shown that drinking red wine in moderation may a positive affect on one’s heart as well as being a preventative for some forms of cancer.
Team members need to be able to interact with each other and with clients or suppliers in a social setting to help further the goals of the company. What better way that to put the team member in a setting that emulates the settings they are likely to find themselves?
With the ever increasing popularity of wine, more and more business individuals need to be able to know what wines to order, wine etiquette and the basics of wine knowledge in a business setting. Can they act appropriately in a social setting when alcoholic beverages are involved? Can they represent the company well in this type of social setting?
The bottom line is will they put their best foot forward on behalf of the company or put their foot in their mouth?
With many of today’s business transactions being conducted in the non-office setting, are the team members in your company prepared.
